- AWD with Terrain Mode and a locking center differential on AWD models. See every AWD Kia.
- Pick the turbo for the mountains. The 274-hp 2.5L turbo keeps its power on I-70 climbs; the non-turbo 2.5L on the LX and S feels the altitude.
- The X-Pro SX Prestige adds all-terrain tires and 8.2 in. of ground clearance for forest roads and snowy trailhead lots. FWD models sit lower, at 6.9 in.

What's New for 2027
- Minor updates: Kia calls the 2027 changes minimal. Jade Black Green paint replaces Jungle Green, and the LX price rises $200.
- Updated output ratings: Kia now lists 186 hp for the 2.5L and 274 hp for the turbo, versus 191 and 281 hp for 2026. Torque is unchanged on the turbo (311 lb-ft).
- 2026 models: Emich Kia still has 2026 Sorentos in stock. The two model years are nearly identical, so a 2026 can be a smart buy.
